Alice M. Shepard

Alice M. Shepard, 76, formerly of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in South Carolina.

Alice was born in Preston, NY on May 30, 1937, the only child of Roy and Ora Gale Little.  A longtime resident of this area, she moved to Pickens, SC in 2011, to be near her family.  She was a graduate of the Oxford Academy and had retired from the McGraw Box Company.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Kathy) Shepard of Cortland, Pamela Shepard of Cortland, and David (Marie) Shepard of Pickens, SC.  She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her husband, Walter Shepard, Jr.,  predeceased her on June 30, 2011.

Funeral services for Alice will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating.  Burial will be in Cincinnatus Cemetery at a later date.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Alice may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
