Alice L. West

Alice L. (Weeks) West, 93, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2022, at her home.

Alice was born in the Town of Taylor, NY, on June 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Raymond and Ida Wood Weeks.  She was the second child of seven and now joins her sisters, Virginia, Clara, Jeanette, and Joyce, and her brother, William.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Cortland Standard.

She is survived by eight children, Ida (Rocky) Marks, Lucia (Elwood) Parker, George (Jennifer) Weeks, Stanley (Shannon) West, David (Brenda) West, Gregory (Mary) West, Larry (Jennine Burk) West, and Edward (Stephanie) West.  She also leaves behind a sister, Jane Adams; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and siblings she was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley West, Sr. on August 24, 2005; a daughter, Melissa, on April 11, 1969; and grandchildren, Sharleen and Stephanie Gleason and Margaret Weeks.

A graveside service will be held at the McGraw Cemetery on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kim Fick officiating.  There will be no prior calling hours or funeral services.
