Betty D. (Daily) Fish, 104, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at her home.

Betty was born in German, NY, on September 8, 1918, the daughter of the late Frederick Charles Dailey and Ruby Eliza Wright.  Betty was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus.  One of nine children, Betty moved from Pitcher to Cincinnatus at the age of four and was a resident for 100 years.  She was the oldest member of the church and over the years she served as the church secretary and treasurer.  She had a beautiful voice and often was a soloist with her great love of music.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, M. Kimberly Steele of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Amanda (Frank) (Fish) Neisen of Troy, NY and Jeremy Fish of San Francisco, CA.  She also leaves behind her nieces, Lesley (Bill Schlimbach) Quinlan and their children, Whitney, Hilary, and Roger Schlimbach of Summit, NJ; and Sue Quinlan and her children, Emily, John and Sarah Quinlan of Athens, GA; nephews, Jack (Camilla) Cobb of Pitcher and their children, Cathy Potter of Pitcher, Bill (Macy) Cobb of Cincinnatus, Donald Cobb of Cortland, and Rob (Leslie) Cobb of Pitcher; Don Daily and his family of N. Syracuse; a very special friend, Joan Merchant of Cincinnatus as constant companion and caregiver who was wonderful to mom and all of us; and many other nieces and nephews who were all very special to mom; and numerous friends and neighbors who brightened her days with their cards, calls and visits.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marian “Bud” Fish; her son, Dan F. Fish; and a nephew, Peter Quinlan.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend David Perrott officiating.  Burial will be in Lower Cincinnatus Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 12:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Betty may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus, 2608 Baptist Avenue, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
