Brian J. Bettinger

Brian J. Bettinger, 39, of Georgetown, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Brian was born in Syracuse on January 8, 1970, a son of James Bettinger and Dianne Lavin Freeman. He attended Erieville Methodist Church and was a former food services supervisor for the Salvation Army in Syracuse. He was a member of Cautious Lodge #726 F&AM.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dianne and Richard Freeman of Georgetown; his father, James Bettinger of Covington, WA; and a brother, Shawn (Michele) Bettinger and his family, Fern and Guthrie Bettinger of Renton, WA.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no immediate services. A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Erieville Methodist Church. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Brian may be directed to the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, 2150 Bleecker St., Utica, NY 13501. Arrangements have been entrusted to the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY.
