Burton J. Pratt, 85, of Freetown, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY.

Born in Port Chester, NY, on September 28, 1932, Burton made his home in the Freetown area for the past seven years. He retired from Sullivan County BOCES, Liberty, NY, where he worked as a biohazard instructor.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Pratt of Torrington, CT; his grandchildren, Kevin Pratt, Jr., Melissa Pratt, and Heather Pratt. He also leaves behind his companion, Gail Heady, of Freetown.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
