C. Michael Sheridan, 73, of South Otselic, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

Michael was born on September 29, 1951, in Alleghany County, PA, the son of the late Claude Matthew Sheridan and Elizabeth Kerr Sheridan. Michael was a man whose life bore the hallmarks of dedication, knowledge, and a deep commitment to service.

A graduate of Bishop Kearney High School in Bensonhurst, NY, Michael pursued higher education and earned his Master’s Degree from Fordham University. His passion for teaching led him to serve as an esteemed teacher for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, where he inspired countless students with his enthusiasm for learning and his unwavering support. Michael further contributed to his community through his role at Guernsey Memorial Library, where he shared his love for literature and helped foster a sense of community among patrons.

Michael is survived by his beloved sisters, Mary (David) Weinstein of Punta Gorda, FL, and Marty (Brian) Marsh of Oceanview, HI. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished his kindness, wisdom, and the generous spirit he shared so freely.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Alghamdi, who passed away in 2021.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Michael may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.

Michael's legacy will be remembered by those who had the privilege to know him, as they carry forward the values of compassion and education that he so deeply embodied.
