Carl L. Greene

Carl L. Greene, 51, of Afton, NY, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY, following an extended illness.

Carl was born in Johnson City on August 22, 1961, a son of the late Winfield and Thelma Slack Greene.  Prior to his illness, he worked as an auto detailer for Royal Motors, Cortland.

He is survived by his six children; a brother, David M. (Florence) Greene of Afton; sisters, Dorothy Leeson of Palmyra, Patricia (Brian) Stanton of Cortland, Betty VanDee of Cuyler, and Esther (Richard) McLory of South Otselic; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a sister, Helen Chambers.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Merwin Greene officiating.  Burial will be in Cuyler Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from noon until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.
