Carole Ann Card, 83, of McGraw, NY, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
Carole was born in Cortland, NY, on May 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Carlton and Mildred Albert Hoose. She was a lifelong member and Deacon of the McGrawville Baptist Church. A member of the Cortland County Retired Nurse’s Association, Carole retired from Cortland Internists in 2000 after 23 years of service. She was also a member and past treasurer for the Herford Association.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Ann Marie) Card and close family friend Tammi Young of Dryden, and Darrell “Beaver” (Michele) Card of McGraw. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Dylan, Dustin (Allyson), Daniele, Joshua, Tyler, Jackson, and Tayte; and a great-grandson, Lucas.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Robert Card, on November 24, 2017.
The family will be present to receive friends at the McGrawville Baptist Church on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with her pastor, Reverend Fran Cochran, officiating. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Carole may be directed to the McGrawville Baptist Church, 7 E. Main Street, McGraw, NY 13101 or the Cortland County Retired Nurses Association.
