Charles H. Cruikshank, Sr.

Charles H. Cruikshank, Sr., 81, of Norwich, NY passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.

Born in Trenton, NY on December 9, 1927, Mr. Cruikshank was a son of the late Charles and Margaret Hallock Cruikshank. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and going to flea markets, auctions, and garage sales.

He is survived by his children, Diana Custer of NC, Charles Cruikshank, Jr. of Norwich, Susan Clark of NC, and David J. (Tina) Cruikshank of N. Pitcher. He also leaves behind a brother, Edward (Sandy) Cruikshank of Cortland and Sybil Harris of E. Syracuse; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty and Nancy Cruikshank; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by sisters, Arlene Rogala, Delores Predmore, and Margaret Clark; brothers, Arthur, Milton, Sr., and Larry Cruikshank; and sons-in-law, Kenneth Custer and Amasa Clark.

Friends are invited to call at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Thursday, May 7, 2009, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating. Burial will be in North Pitcher Cemetery.
