Charlotte M. Armlin

Charlotte M. (Abbott) Armlin, 75, formerly of Smyrna, NY, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Chase Memorial Nursing Home, New Berlin, NY.

Charlotte was born in Greene, NY, on March 12, 1948, the daughter of the late Alton and Elizabeth Hunter Abbott.  Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an assembler for Smith-Corona in Cortland and Amphenol in Sidney.

She is survived by her children, Sherry Hanson of Afton and Wesley Armlin of Greene.  She also leaves behind her brothers, Eugene (Milli) McKee of Sherburne, Raymond (Nancy) Abbott of North Carolina, Leonard (Cathy) Abbott of German, and Angus (Diane) Cullipher of Norwich; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service for Charlotte will be held at the Westview Cemetery in German on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Peter Bush officiating.  There will be no prior services. Immediately following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the home of Charlotte's daughter, Sherry (229 Algerine Street, Afton, NY).  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Charlotte may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central NY Chapter 5015 Campuswood Drive, Suite 102, E.
