Christopher Earl Tanner

Christopher Earl Tanner, 50, of Cortland, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Christopher was born in Rochester, NY, on October 23, 1972, the son of Ronald Tanner, Jr. and Mae Steacy Tanner.  He had been employed as a mold technician at Cortland Plastics for the last couple of years.  He was an extremely hardworking man who loved to play football as a child.  He especially enjoyed music and sports.

He is survived by his mother, Mae (Ed Poole) Tanner, of South Otselic; and his children, Amber, Chris, and Emily.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Harmony and Bennett; his siblings, Ronald (Kathy) Tanner II of Inverness, FL, Valerie (Charles) Livingston of Marathon, Timothy Tanner and Eddie Poole, Jr. both of South Otselic, and Jefferson Poole of Cincinnatus; his nephews and nieces, Charles Bishop, Charles, Tanner, and Dalton Livingston, Lydia and Gracie Poole, Jodi Tanner, and Jonathon Poole; a special friend, Tina Rice; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, and a brother, Raymond Tanner.
