David O. Harrington

July 17, 1946 — April 10, 2021

David O. Harrington, 74, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Syracuse, NY.

He was a lifelong resident of Cincinnatus, NY, and was a 1964 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School.  He was a member of the first graduating class of TC3 in 1970 with an AAS degree in Business Administration.  David was the owner of Kurtz-Harrington Farm Equipment and David’s Dairy Treat in Cincinnatus.  He also raised registered Holsteins and showed them in local and regional shows and at the NYS Fair in Syracuse.  He was a life member of the Cincinnatus Fire Department and Cincinnatus Emergency Squad.  He enjoyed summers at the cottage on DeRuyter Lake with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sister, Nancy (Richard) Hicks, who was the 1964 NY State Dairy Princess; his nephew, Michael (Eileen) Hicks and their children, Michael and Katy; his niece, Amy (Richie) Moore and their children, Makenna and Grayson; his nephew-in-law, Jason Ervin and his children, Matthew and James; and two surviving cousins.

David was predeceased by his parents, Warner and Aleine Harrington, and his niece, Heather Ervin.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no services.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of David may be directed to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
