Donald G. George

Donald “Don” G. George, 94, of Cincinnatus passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 23, 2019.

Don was in the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was a hard-working craftsman and entrepreneur who enjoyed hunting and loved making pie. He enjoyed his dear friends at the Willet Senior Center playing pool and cards.

He was a beloved grandfather of eight grandchildren, Donnie (Lori) of Cortland, Greg of Summerhill, Tim (Shannon) of South Carolina, Natalie of Cortland, Bill, Becky (Gary), Louise (Richard) Monico of Endicott, David (Elizabeth) of Avon, and thirteen great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by sisters, Betty, Margie, and Helen, daughters, Diane (Sam) Rotunda, C. Donna (Ron) Crumb, and sons, Gideon (Marlene) George and Doug George.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Grace (Bronner), sisters Ruth and Dorothy, and brothers, Charlie, Jerry, and Robert.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no formal funeral service.
