Donna E. Parks

Donna E. Parks, 70, of McDonough, NY, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.

Born in Ithaca, NY on October 2, 1943, Donna was a daughter of Howard and Doris Hinchey Henry.  She was a member, past president, and past secretary of the G.M. Nightengale American Legion Post #1478 Auxiliary, McDonough and a member of the McDonough Fire Department Emergency Squad.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Parks; her children, Robert (Loretta) Lilly of Blodgett Mills, Paul “Skeeter” (Debi) Thompson of McDonough, and Tami Linger of Greene.  She also leaves behind her father, Howard Henry, of Cortland; grandchildren, Tyler and Paul Thompson, Maisie Sutton, and Harlow, Camden, and Jacob Linger; a great-grandson, Schuyler Sutton; a brother, Arthur (Grace) Thompson of Ithaca; and sisters, Noreen Boyce of Cortland and Delores (Bill) Turke of Ithaca; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother, Doris Henry.

A memorial service for Donna will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating.  There will be no prior calling hours.
