Douglas R. Marks, 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at the Grey Stone Health & Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
 
Born in Cincinnatus, New York on August 1, 1933, Mr. Marks was a son of the late Carl and Beulah Young Marks of Telephone Road, Cincinnatus.  He served our country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and retired in 1982 after faithfully serving this country for 29 years.  After retirement, Douglas worked at Raytheon in Fort Wayne for 15 years, retiring in 2007.  Douglas enjoyed his retirement time gardening, using his electronics and performing genealogy research. Douglas loved the Chicago Bulls (MJ era) and Indianapolis Colts, watching war and western movies, and listening to country music.
 
He is survived by his loving wife, Miyuki Marks of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his 3 sons: Jimmie T. Marks (Luz) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Michael J. Marks (Kristy) of Howell, New Jersey and Terrel W. Marks of Indianapolis, Indiana; 1 niece Debbie Holtmart; 4 nephews Gerald Tracy, Jim Button, John Button and Jody Button; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
 
He was predeceased by his sisters, Jean Marks, Marge Button, and Lorena Tracy.  
 
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at the Taylor Rural Cemetery, Cincinnatus, New York on Saturday, August 30th, at 11 AM, with Fred M.S. officiating.  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or formal funeral service.  Expressions of thought and sympathy of Douglas may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
