Elizabeth Cannetti

Elizabeth Cannetti, 87, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.

Mrs. Cannetti was born in Queens, NY, on January 18, 1930, a daughter of the late Carmine and Concetta Yarusso Carfagnini.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Cincinnatus, where she had previously been active in the Altar and Rosary Society.  In her spare time, she spent several years as a volunteer at Cortland-Chenango Rural Services.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Edward) Manz, of Cincinnatus, and her son, Robert Cannetti, of Long Island, NY.  She also leaves behind four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Philomena (Ralph) Martello, of CT.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 63  years, Agatino “Lefty” Cannetti, on August 1, 2014, and a daughter, Carmela Price, in 2012.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  A Catholic Prayer Service will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Douglas Cunningham officiating.
