Ellen M. Depew

Ellen M. Depew, 80, of South Otselic, NY, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Crouse Memorial Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Born in Syracuse, NY, Ellen was the daughter of the late Charles and Doris Amidon Bradley.  A longtime resident of the area, she worked as a school bus driver for the Otselic Valley Central School for ten years, until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Charles “Sam” Depew; and her children, Chase Davis, Jr. of Canastota, Edith Moore of Syracuse, Patricia Johnson of Norwich, John Davis of Rochester, Doris Davis of Georgetown, Larry Davis of NC, and James Davis of OK.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jason Davis, Bradley Moore, James Johnson, Ellen Johnson, Kelsey Elam, David Mapstone, Timothy Coon, and Justin Davis; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Coleman of NC; a brother, Jerry Bradley of NC; and stepsons, Dean and Scott Depew.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no immediate services.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ellen may be directed to the South Otselic Fire Department and Emergency Squad, 1577 State Highway 26, South Otselic, NY 13155.
