Evelyn Louise Fisher, affectionately known as "Dolly," passed away at her home in Cincinnatus, NY, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 84.

Dolly was born in Buffalo, NY on October 19, 1941. Evelyn touched the lives of many with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering strength. She was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints, Cortland.

Evelyn devoted her life to the care of others, both in her personal and professional life. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Buffalo Hospital, where her kindness and dedication to her patients were evident to all who knew her. Colleagues and patients alike remember her gentle spirit and her willingness to go above and beyond to offer comfort and healing.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Misty, and her son, Heath. She is also lovingly remembered by her step-sons, Vaughn, Shawn, and Todd, and her step-daughter, Deedee. Evelyn’s siblings — brothers David and Ricky, and sisters Edna, Pat, and Donna — mourn her loss while cherishing the many memories they shared. Her life was further enriched by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will continue to hold her in their hearts.

Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Fisher, whose memory she carried with her always.

Evelyn’s devotion to her work and family, her compassion for those around her, and her remarkable resilience have left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered with deep affection and gratitude for the many ways she enriched the lives of her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of Latter-day Saints, Cortland, at a date and time to be announced.
