Florence I. Lambert, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home, Ithaca, NY.
Miss Lambert was born in South Otselic, NY on May 22, 1935, a daughter of the late Ernest and Mae Kibbe Lambert. A longtime resident of the area, she retired from Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, on June 1, 1995, where she had been employed as a registered nurse for several years. After her retirement, she served as an ombudsman throughout Chenango County.
She is survived by her sisters, Fannie Lambert of South Carolina and Marge (John) Stiffler of Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind a nephew, Jeremy Lambert of Syracuse, as well as other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Velma Lambert, and brothers, Wilbur and Varley Lambert.
A graveside service will be held at the Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic, NY on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m.
