Frances J. O'Krepki

Frances J. O'Krepki, 94, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, of Berkshire, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

Born in New Britain, CT on February 14, 1918, Frances was the only child of Homer and Anna Kenyon Justice. A longtime resident of Berkshire, she was a member of the East Berkshire United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at the Owego-Apalachin School, Newark Valley Central School, Candor Central School, and also three years in the rural schools. She was a member of the Berkshire Senior Citizens and was civically active in the community.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. James O'Krepki and his wife, Dr. Tina Ochrymowych of Berkshire, and Homer O'Krepki and his wife, Caroline O'Krepki of Ocean, NJ. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Justin of Binghamton, and Meggin and Michael of Ocean, NJ; her great-grandchildren, Cody and Mikayla; and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael O'Krepki in 1983.

A memorial service will be held at the East Berkshire United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 9, at 11 am. There will be no calling hours, and the family will arrange a private burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frances may be directed to the East Berkshire United Methodist Church, Berkshire, NY 13736.
