Franklin J. White, 85, of German, NY, died Friday, December 16, 2011, in Englewood, FL.

Franklin was born in German on May 19, 1926, a son of the late Robert K. and Pauline Delamarter White. A lifelong resident of German, he was a member of the German Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Cincinnatus Central School and owned and operated a dairy farm in German for most of his life, retiring in 1990. He also served as the German Town Supervisor for 21 years. After he retired from farming, he lived winters in Florida and summers in New York. Franklin was an outgoing man and great story-teller and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Lacinski White, and three daughters, Jeanne (Chick) Cirello of Oxford, Barbara Sobol of Dryden, and Shelby (Jeff McMasters) White of Taylor. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Ruby White, of Cincinnatus and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and William Happich, and a brother, Charles White.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Franklin may be directed to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
