Freida E. Stafford

Freida E. Stafford, 89, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011, at her home.

Mrs. Stafford was born in the Town of Solon, NY on September 27, 1921, a daughter of the late Arthur and Reta Coates Thornton. She was a lifelong resident of this area.

She is survived by her children, Joanne Perkins of Cincinnatus, Gerald (Adrianne) Stafford of Cincinnatus, Judy (John) Judson of Clearwater, FL, Jack (Norma) Stafford of Cincinnatus and Jimmy (Alisha Jencks) Stafford of Cincinnatus. She also leaves behind a sister, Elna Stafford of Cincinnatus; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stafford, on December 23, 1996, and grandsons, Duane Church and Gerald Stafford, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend James Hundley officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Rural Cemetery at a later date. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
