Garry L. Torrey

Garry L. Torrey, 62, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.

Garry was born in Greene, NY on November 8, 1946, a son of Avery and Geneva Torrey. He was employed at S&D Petroleum in Cincinnatus where he worked as an LP delivery person and a service technician. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 until 1970.

In addition to his parents, Avery and Geneva Torrey of Cincinnatus, he is survived by his significant other, Margery Talutis of Cincinnatus; a son, Jason Spence, of Cincinnatus; brothers, Edward (Barbara) Torrey of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Arthur (Brenda) Torrey of Cincinnatus; sisters, Leona Diaz of McDonough, Natholie (Gary) Morley of N. Pitcher, and Cynthia (James) DeForest of McDonough; his paternal grandmother, Bertha Deuel; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private graveside service with military honors will be at Westview Cemetery in German at a later date and time.
