George W. Keefer

George W. Keefer, 91, of Pitcher, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, following a brief illness.

Born in Englewood, NJ on February 12, 1923, Mr. Keefer was the son of the late George A. and Alma Schlick Keefer. He was a retired dock builder with Carpenter’s Union Local #1546 in New York, NY.

He is survived by his children, Susan, Katherine (Robert), Margaret, Joan, Edward (Ursula) and George (Sandy). He also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Dorothy also predeceased him in 1998.

A memorial service will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at 2:00 PM with Will Gallerani officiating.  There will be no prior calling hours.
