Gerald W. Bailey

Gerald W. Bailey, 79, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY, following a brief illness.

Born in Elmira, NY on May 13, 1936, Gerald was the son of the late Aldon and Florence Eggleston Bailey.  From 1966 to 1973, he worked as a mechanic at McKee Equipment, Cincinnatus, and then worked as a self-employed tractor and small engine mechanic.  He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua.

He is survived by an aunt, Ruby White, of Cincinnatus, and several cousins and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Eldean Bailey, on March 3, 2005.

A graveside service will be held at the Westview Cemetery, German, NY on Friday, November 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Palmer Neumeister officiating.  In keeping with Gerald's wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or funeral services.
