Gladys E. (Hall) Burrows, 77, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
Born in Pitcher, NY, on August 17, 1948, Gladys was the daughter of the late Adelbert and Ethel Fuller Hall. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched the lives of many.
Gladys was a dedicated member of the The Gathering Place Church in Syracuse and truly enjoyed being a part of the Deaf Ministry. It was here that she found fulfillment and companionship within a community that she cherished deeply. Her commitment to this ministry was a testament to her compassionate spirit and her desire to connect with others.
In her spare time, Gladys found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed watching DVDs, immersing herself in stories that sparked her imagination and provided entertainment. A lover of animals, she took great delight in playing with her cats, who brought her comfort and joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved family members: her sisters, Louise Oralls of Cortland, Joyce (Howard) Seaman of N. Chili, and Mary (Michael) Rosen of Clearwater, FL; her brother, George (Nancy) Hall of Rapid City, SD; and her brother-in-law, Michael Darrow of Nedrow.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Darrow and her brother, Gordon Hall.
A celebration of Gladys’ life will be held at a later date, at which time there will also be a celebration of the life of her brother, Gordon, who passed away on November 18, 2025. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Gladys may be directed to The Gathering Place, Deaf Ministries Program, 420 S. Main Street, Syracuse, NY 13212.
Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her influence and love will continue to resonate within the hearts of those she held dear. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
