Gloria M. Hickson

Gloria M. (Olsen) Hickson, 88, of Cincinnatus (German), NY, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 22, 2023, while surrounded by her family.

Glo was born in Garden City, NY, on January 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura Ridge Olsen.  Her greatest pleasure was that of her family and she enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and their involvement in sports.

She is survived by her life partner, Dale Collier of German; and her children, Linda (Randy) Northrup of McDonough, Edward (Cheryl) Munro of Taylor, Mel (Diane) Hickson, Jr. of Georgia, Bonnie (Neal, Jr.) Bonham of Pitcher, Karie (Timothy) White of German, and Levi Hickson of German.  She also leaves behind her son-in-law, William Contri, of Marathon; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Mel Hickson, Sr., on November 7, 2005; daughters, Cheryl Hickson on May 20, 2018, and Denise Contri on March 22, 2019.  She was also predeceased by her siblings, Laurita, Arthur and Glenn.
