Gordon R. Hall, 74, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Guthrie Cortland Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Gordon was born in Pitcher, NY on August 20, 1951, the son of the late Albert and Ethel Fuller Hall. He was a devoted member of his community and dedicated his life to service through his work. Gordon retired from Whitney Point Central School after many years of exemplary service as a custodian, a role he took great pride in. Prior to this, he had honed his work ethic and commitment at Cincinnatus Central School, where he left a lasting impact.

Gordon was known for his quiet demeanor and possessive of a dry sense of humor that warmed the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Above all, Gordon cherished his family deeply, and he found immense joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews, fostering bonds that will be remembered fondly by all.

He is survived by his dear siblings: Louise Oralls of Cortland, Joyce (Howard) Seaman of N. Chile, Gladys Burrows of Syracuse, George (Nancy) Hall of Rapid City, SD, and Mary (Michael) Rosen of Clearwater, FL. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother-in-law, Michael Barrow of Nedrow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Barrow.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Gordon R. Hall will be remembered not only for his contributions to his schools and community but also for the love and laughter he brought to his family. His memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched in profound and meaningful ways.
