Harold "Harry" R. Marvin, Jr.

Harold “Harry” R. Marvin, Jr., 59, of Pharsalia, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 4, 2019, at his home.

Born in Cortland, NY, on March 9, 1959, Harry was the son of Harold R. Marvin, Sr. and Marlene Harris Marvin.  A longtime resident of this area, he was employed by Otselic Valley Central School for the past 20 years, first as a custodian and most recently as a school bus driver.  He was a member of FFA and enjoyed snowmobiling and working on his Farmall tractor.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Holly Foster Marvin; and his children, Heather (Vastni) Stafford of Pitcher, Leslie (Gary) Frink of Cincinnatus, Tristan Marvin of Norwich, and Diana Marvin of Pharsalia.  He also leaves behind his parents, Harold (Carol Grant) Marvin, Sr. of Cincinnatus, and Marlene Harris Marvin of McGraw; his grandchildren, Ethen, L.J., Garrett, Greta, and Murphy; a sister, Kathy Marvin of Ithaca; brothers, Gordon (Jodi) Marvin of Fulton and Shawn Marvin of Oswego; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by a son, Harold “JJ” Marvin III on March 15, 1986.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Fred M.S.
