Harry Lawrence White

Harry Lawrence White, 67, of Norwich, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020, following a brief illness.

Born in Cortland, NY, on September 21, 1952, Harry was the son of the late Charles and Ruby (Eggleston) White.  He was brought up on a farm in German, NY, and was a 1970 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School.  In the early 1970’s he moved to Norwich where he worked for NBT Bank for 42 years, retiring in 2016.  He was also in a photography partnership with Richard Griffin for 25 years.  He had planned many annual Pioneer Days celebrations with family and friends in German and created several historical slide shows.  Harry enjoyed classic rock music, acrylic painting, cats, and his close friendships with many people.

He is survived by his sisters, Beverly Farrow, Sharon Fox, Yvonne Brewer and Lois Brown.   He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins and his close friends Richard and Sharon Griffin.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Fred White.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Andy White officiating.  Burial will be in German Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.  NYS guidelines regarding capacity, social distancing, and wearing face coverings will be followed.  For those individuals unable to attend the funeral service for Harry, you may live stream the service by clicking the button below the funeral service information.
