Hazel M. Enright

Hazel M. Enright, 85, of McDonough, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2018, at her home, while surrounded by her family.

Hazel was born in Spencer, NY, on July 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Bossard Tyler and was a 1951 graduate of Candor Central School.  On April 17, 1954, she married the love of her life, Ralph Enright.  She had previously been employed by Tioga State Bank and served as the Town Clerk for the Town of Candor for several years.  In 1974, Ralph and Hazel moved their family farm to McDonough.  In addition to tending to the daily chores of the farm, Hazel enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading, and completing puzzle books, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ralph Enright, of McDonough, and her children, Earl (Patricia) Enright, Bob (Cheryl) Enright, Gail (Garry) Standish, all of McDonough, and Bruce (Denise) Enright of Cicero.  She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Enright, and a brother, Herbert Tyler.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Peter Bush officiating.  Burial will follow in Wayside Rest Cemetery.

Dear Aunt Hazel, you were the aunt who spent time with us when we were children, visiting your family on your farm. You were more like a big sister to me, and I have always loved you. Rest in peace, dear Aunt Hazel. Love and peace to all your family.

So sorry for the loss of your mom, wife, grandma. 1974, that means Ive known you family and been associated with your farm for about 38 years, but the hands of the clock dont stop for us mortals. Hazel will now have an eternal rest free from pain, illness, worries, confusion, tears. Im proud to have known her.
