James C. Ward

James C. Ward, 58, of Chenango Forks, NY, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.

Born in Auburn, NY, on May 25, 1953, Jim was a son of the late Harry and Henrietta Mack Ward. He was employed at Wegman's in Johnson City. He was a member of the Kattelville Athletic Association and in his spare time, enjoyed his hobby farm and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Ward, at home; and a daughter, Stacy (Timothy) Joslin of Willet. He also leaves behind a brother, Tom (Gina) Ward of Binghamton; sisters, Linda (Bill) Crandall of Buffalo and Maryann Gotschal of Endicott; his mother-in-law, Katherine Skinner of Chenango Forks; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Ward, of Newark Valley.

A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Genegantslet County Club, Route 12, Greene, NY. Donations in Jim's memory may be directed to the American Heart Association, 59 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
