Jane Jennings Conway, 63, of North Pitcher, NY, became an angel on April 3, 2022.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her life, especially her two grandchildren, Clay and Jessa, who affectionately called her Mammy. She loved spoiling them and spending time with them by reading, going on “dates” (grocery shopping and lunch), planning trips to the coolest hotels, and having game and movie nights. When her daughters were younger, Jane was an active and well-known Girl Scout Troop Leader through St. Thomas More Parish in Allentown, PA. Her passions included painting ceramics and sewing, and she was the best cake baker and cook around. Jane was the most giving and thoughtful person with the kindest soul.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Jane was born on May 19, 1958. She was adopted by loving parents and grew up surrounded by a large extended family in Coopersburg. She worked as a coffee girl at Benetz Inn in her teens, and then as a clerk at Mack Trucks and a manager at House of Bargains Children’s Clothing. She later became a pharmacy technician, working at PharMor, Lehigh Valley Hospital, and UHS Wilson Medical Center. In her 50s, she earned a Bachelor’s degree for Health Information/Medical Records Administration, always receiving awards at the top of her class. After college, she was employed as an Editor by Elsevier Publishing and a Subject Matter/Content Writer by Relias Publishing. She had an impressive list of credentials, including RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CRC, CPhT, and was an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer.
Jane is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jack W. Conway Jr of North Pitcher, NY; daughters Kelly (Michael) Wasson of London, England and Sabrina (Joshua) Whorrall of South Otselic, NY; son Jack W. Conway III of Johnson City, NY; grandchildren Clay Jackson Whorrall, Jessa Jane Whorrall, and one on the way; a brother, James Jennings; a sister; and many members of her extended family. Jane is predeceased by her parents, John and Louise (Weber) Jennings.
