Jane M. Meyers

Jane M. (Crawley) Meyers, 89, of Syracuse, NY, and formerly of Ocala, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at her home, while surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was born in Norwich, NY, on September 7, 1930, the daughter of the late Stanley and Ada Chantler Crawley.  She had been a longtime resident of Ocala, FL, and had relocated to Syracuse, NY, a short time ago.  She was a very active member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Ocala, FL.  Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at Closet Maid.  She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children, Michael Meyers of Del Mar, CA, Timothy (Michele Fehrman) Meyers of Chittenango, Josette (Greg) Potter of South Otselic, and Rebecca Cook of Derby, KS.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Anne Marie (Brian) Campbell, Robyn Renee (Chris) Bleacher, Stacey Meyers, Nicholas (Ashley Champion) Meyers, Lindsay (Corey Hanlon) Meyers, Joshua (Lisa) Potter, Heather (Gene) Wood, Jayson (Angela) Ingalls, and Megan (Paul) Hesser; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul K. (Malona) Crawley of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL; a sister, Sarah Sharpe of Norwich; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Meyers, in 1970; a sister, Myra Harp; and a brother, Stanley William Crawley.

A graveside service will be held at the Taylor Rural Cemetery, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating.  There will be a celebration of Jane’s life immediately following the graveside service at the home of her daughter, Josette Potter, 814 Billy Brown Road, South Otselic, NY.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jane may be directed to the Kellogg Free Library, P.O.
