John L. Carr

John L. Carr, 45, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA.

John was born in Bethesda, MD, on December 4, 1974.  He was a 1993 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School and had been employed as a truck driver for Bolus  Freight Systems for the past ten years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games and listening to music.

He is survived by his parents, Joellen and Dennis Deiss of Cincinnatus, and Robert Carr of Pensacola, FL.  He also leaves behind his brother, Robert (Laurie) Carr of Oxford, CT; a nephew, Nick Carr; nieces, Ali and Claire Carr; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his aunt and God Mother, Donna Deiss Stone.

In keeping with his wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in the spring.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of John may be directed to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
