John DeMonte

John DeMonte, 75, of Cincinnatus (German), NY, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at his home, with his wife by his side.

John was born in Flushing, Queens, on October 30, 1948, the son of the late Pietro and Isabella Santoro DeMonte.  He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Cincinnatus.  He retired from the Fire Department of New York in 2011 where he had worked as a communications electrician for over 20 years.  He was a former district deputy, former past Grand Knight and member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1463.  He had also served as the town justice for the Town of German from 2017 to 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan Hay DeMonte, and several cousins.
