Judy M. (Brown) Allen, 75, of Solon, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.

Judy was born in Cortland, NY, on October 14, 1941, the daughter of the late Robert and Ella Davern Brown.  Growing up in Blodgett Mills, she attended McGraw Central School.  She had been employed at Smith-Corona until their closing and then spent several years working at SUNY Cortland.  Judy was very family-oriented and dearly loved her children and grandchildren and had most recently been living with her daughter and son-in-law.

She is survived by her daughters, Elly (Robert Marshall) Allen of Morganton, NC, and Jody (Christopher) Maroney of Cincinnatus.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Devin Marshall, McKayla Maroney, and Colton Maroney; brothers, James (Pat) Brown of McGraw, and Douglas (Janice Hatfield) Brown of Dryden; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Allen, on March 18, 1992; and a sister, Susan Cowan, in January 2017.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at the Solon Sportsman's Club, Cincinnatus, NY, on Sunday, April 23, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Judy may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7, E. Syracuse, NY 13057.
