Judy J. Wade

Judy J. (Braley) Wade, 85, of McGraw, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Hospicare of Ithaca.

Born on December 20, 1939, in Presque Isle, ME, Judy was the daughter of the late Floyd and Edith Akeley Braley. She dedicated many years of her career to Monarch Machine and Tool in Cortland, NY, from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Beyond her professional achievements, Judy was a valued member of the United Methodist Church of McGraw, where she served as financial secretary and recording secretary for several years, and actively contributed to her church community, reflecting her deep faith and passion for service.

In addition to her work and community involvement, Judy was an avid reader and a member of the McGraw Book Club. Her love for reading was matched only by her passion for travel; she enjoyed exploring new places and meeting the delightful people in small towns along her journeys.

Judy is survived by her two loving sons, Steven (Myong) Wade of Clarkesville, TN, and Alan (Darlene) Wade of Mesa, AZ. She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and delighted in the joy of her seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness into her life. She also leaves behind a sister, Necia Daigle.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Dean Wade, as well as her granddaughter, Sarah Grace Wade. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Norris and Earlan Braley, and her sister, Nancy Refroe.

Funeral services for Judy will be held at the United Methodist Church of McGraw on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Julie Ryan officiating. Burial will be in McGraw Cemetery at a later date. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 12:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Judy may be directed to the United Methodist Church of McGraw, 20 E.
