Laura Rooney, 56, of McDonough, NY, left us on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Guthrie Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY.

Laura was born on Coney Island, NY, on September 18, 1968. She was a beloved daughter, cherished partner, and devoted mother whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Laura was passionate about the outdoors, finding great joy in activities such as hunting and fishing. These pursuits not only provided her with moments of personal fulfillment but also allowed her to share meaningful experiences with loved ones. Her appreciation for nature was evident in her enthusiasm for adventure, whether it was on a serene lake or in the quiet woods.

In her final days, Laura is survived by her loving boyfriend, Roland Ward, Jr. of McDonough, and her daughter, Kimberly Hollenbeck of Taylor. They will hold her memory dearly as they navigate life without her physical presence, cherishing the love and laughter she brought into their lives.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held.
