Linda M. Laudig

Linda M. (Rink) Laudig, 62, passed away peacefully at her home in McDonough, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, while surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on October 20, 1963, in Cortland, NY, Linda is the daughter of Charles Rink, Sr. and Mary Satterlee Rink. She cherished her upbringing in a community that later inspired her long-standing career in education.

After graduating from Cincinnatus Central School in 1981, Linda further pursued her passion for learning and teaching, earning her Master's in Education Degree from SUNY Cortland in 2000. She dedicated 24 years of her career as a high school math teacher to the Cincinnatus Central School, impacting the lives of countless students with her unwavering commitment to their education. Her leadership as the head of the Cincinnatus Education Association Union for several years underscored her dedication to both her profession and her colleagues.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jonathon Laudig. Together, they raised two children, Brandy (Chris) Howard of Denver, CO, and Jonathon (Leah) Laudig II of Fulton. Linda's family rejoices in the memories created with their grandchildren, Maxwell Orion Howard and Duncan Cobolt Howard, who were the light of her life.

She leaves behind her cherished mother, Mary Rink of Smithville Flats, and her brothers, Russell (Kris) Rink of Michigan and Lawrence (Nancy) Rink of Cazenovia. Linda's warmth and spirit will also be missed by her sisters, Roberta (Brent Rosiek) Rink of Rochester, Barbara (Charles) Winters of Willet, along with a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a close family friend, Wade Conklin, who held her dear.

Linda was predeceased by her father and by her brothers, Ronald Rink in 2015 and Charles Rink Jr. in 2020, each leaving a profound absence in her life that she carried with grace.

Graveside services for Linda will be held at the Westview Cemetery (German) on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mark Brown officiating. There will be no prior calling hours or funeral service. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Linda may be directed to the CEA, c/o Rebecca Merihew, 2809 Cincinnatus Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.

Linda will be remembered for her passion for education, her love for her family, and the positive impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she touched throughout her life.
