IN LOVING MEMORY OF
LuAnn
Glassford
January 25, 1955 – February 14, 2026
With hearts full of love, we celebrate the life of LuAnn Glassford who passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lyle and Beverly Peak, and her in-laws, Nathan and Ruth Glassford.
LuAnn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. One of her greatest joys in life was her family. She married Neil Glassford, her high school sweetheart, on February 19, 1972. She grew up on country music and square dancing. In fact, she met Neil at the age of 14 at the Solon Sportsman Club while attending a square dance where her father, Lyle, was calling the square dances. They spent a life together creating a very loving family and memories that will be cherished by all her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her pool time. She loved her cockatiel, Jasper.
She thoroughly enjoyed feeding the birds, especially hummingbirds and had her favorite “hummer” who she named Hitler that returned every year to visit her. She enjoyed all wild life. Throughout their lives together they had many animals, one in particular was their horse, Cheyenne, who foaled the first ever horse to be born at their Free Spirit Stables in May 1992. Rebel went onto live his life for 33 years at their stables. LuAnn enjoyed rodeos and they even raised some Brahma bulls to compete in them. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers and had many thriving indoor house plants.
She was employed at the Vesta for many years and retired from Pall Trinity after several years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Neil Glassford; her daughter, Tracie (Adelbert) McKee and her son, Cory (Christel) Glassford. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Chelsie (Brian) Manwarren; grandsons, Shawnahe (Casey) McKee and Darian Glassford; great-grandchildren, Parker Jo, Dawson, AdaLynn, Zoey, and Jaxxon; sisters, Sherry (Dave) Knickerbocker and Teresa (Corky) Carr; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, she leaves behind two very special friends, Brenda Hopkins and Sue Dingy.
In addition to her parents and in-laws, she was also predeceased by a special friend, Debra Finch.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no immediate services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in memory of LuAnn may be directed to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
