IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary E.
Connor
September 22, 1938 – February 21, 2026
Mary E. (Warner) Connor, 87, of Taylor, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Upstate Community Hospital, Syracuse, NY, while surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in DeRuyter, NY on September 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Gordon D. and Ellabelle Vincent Warner. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus. She lived a life rich with dedication, service, and love.
A graduate of DeRuyter Central School, Mary embraced a career that spanned several local businesses. She worked diligently at Smith-Corona, contributed to the Cincinnatus School Cafeteria, and was involved with Cincinnatus Auto Supply. Most recently, she brought her organizational skills to Connor’s Automotive, where she served as a bookkeeper.
Mary was known not only for her professional contributions but also for her warm and inviting personality. She found joy in baking and had a particular passion for bird watching. Also in her spare time, she enjoyed doing word searches. However, nothing brought her more happiness than her family, with whom she shared countless treasured moments.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Denise (Michael Avery) Connor, Jeff Connor, Greg Connor, and Lisa (Scott) Moseley, all of Taylor, NY. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Elsie Totman of Cincinnatus, her brother-in-law, Douglas Connor of Taylor, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Connor, who passed away on June 8, 2001, and her brother, Richard H. Warner.
In keeping with her wishes, private graveside services will be held at the Taylor Rural Cemetery at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus, P.O. Box 220, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
