Mary Lou Currier

Mary Lou (Franklin) Currier, 85, formerly of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville, NY.

Born in Norwich, NY, on July 19, 1938, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Clyde and Marvel Townley Franklin. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at RTE in McGraw for a number of years.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Currier and Mark (Clara) Currier, all of Florida; and her grandchildren, C.J. (Clare) Underwood of Marietta, Arthur Currier of Washington, DC, and Madison Currier of Florida. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Blake Popavich and Rory Underwood; a sister, Shirley White of Cortland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Currier, in 2001; a granddaughter, Alexandra Currier; and a brother, Larry Franklin.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no formal memorial services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary Lou may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
