Mary L. Lehman

Mary L. (Rogers) Lehman, 79, of Pitcher, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY, while surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Taylor, NY, on August 20, 1937, Mary was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Dorla Smith Rogers.  A longtime resident of the area, she enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family and friends and was proud to be a NY Yankees fan.  A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her family.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Clay) Ingrahm of Pitcher, and Timothy (Mindy) Fox of Chenango Forks.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Jackson, Eric Ingrahm, Sarah Sturdevant, Joshua Fox, Holly Ingrahm, and Samantha (Joe McUmber) Peterson; her great-grandchildren, Chase, Eric, Brennan, David, Camden, and Marlea; her sisters, Elaine (Jim) Aiken of Pitcher and Diane Slade of Groton; her brothers, Robert (Gloria) Rogers of Cortland, Donald (Sue) Rogers of MO, and Roy (Alice) Rogers of OK; a sister-in-law, Maureen Rogers, of Groton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Lehman, on December 6, 2008; an infant son, Jay Carl Fox, Jr., in 1963; a sister, Marcia Payson; and a brother, Wilbur Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Friday, September 2, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Peter Bush officiating.  Burial will be in Taylor Rural Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until the start of the service at 2:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, P.O.
