Megan M. (Becker) Warner, 50, of DeRuyter, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 30, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family. 

Megan was born in Kirkland, WA on September 14, 1975, the daughter of William and Karen Jachimiak Becker. Megan’s life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and quiet strength, qualities that touched everyone she encountered. A 1994 graduate of DeRuyter Central School, Megan was remembered by classmates and teachers alike as a very social student with a great love for musicals and theater. She was a loyal friend, always eager to lend a hand. Megan brought her trademark diligence and warmth into her professional life as well, working with commitment at Knowles Capacitors in Cazenovia until her illness prevented her from continuing. 

Megan’s sense of service extended beyond the workplace into the heart of her community. As a member and strong advocate for the Cuyler Youth Group, she worked tirelessly to support and uplift local youth. Her compassion and encouragement inspired many young people to reach their potential, leaving an enduring legacy of hope and opportunity. Family was always at the center of Megan’s world. 

She is lovingly survived by her husband Douglas Tytler; her daughters, Karen Warner, Abigail Warner, and Annabelle Tytler; her sons, Owen Tytler and Nathan Warner, all of DeRuyter. Megan’s love and guidance have shaped their lives in immeasurable ways, providing a foundation of unconditional support and warmth. She is also survived by her father, William Becker, and step-mother, Margaret Becker. Megan’s siblings, Jenni Cirbus and husband Joseph, Mark Becker, Zachary Becker and wife Tiffany, Kathryn Becker, and Wade Becker and wife Ria, sisters-in-law Joanne Fostveit and husband Bruce, Ann Howell and husband Donald, and Cathleen Truesdale and husband Alan, together with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, will forever cherish the laughter, wisdom, and memorable family gatherings that Megan so lovingly fostered. Each member of her large and close-knit family remembers her as a confidant, a champion, and a steady source of comfort. 

She was predeceased by her mother Karen Jachimiak Becker, step-mother Lynn Becker, Douglas’ parents Whizz and Jane Tytler grandparents, sister-in-law Diana Dennis aunts, uncles, and cousins whose memory Megan held dear. Megan’s presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her, but her spirit endures in the lives of her children, the heart of her family, and the community to which she gave so much.

Funeral services for Megan will be held at the Cuyler Community Church on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Wiesing officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.  Monetary donations in memory of Megan may be directed to the Cuyler Community Church or any youth groups affiliated with Truxton, Cuyler and DeRuyter. Megan’s legacy of love, service, and kindness will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
