Naomi M. Milhit

Naomi M. (Balzarette) Milhit, 82, of Willet, NY, and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013, at Lourde’s Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

Born in Pallisade’s Park, NJ, Naomi was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Link Balzarette.  A resident of Willet since 1999, she had resided in Long Island for most of her life.  She retired from Macy’s Department Store in Huntington, LI, NY after 35 years of service.  She was also a member of the Good Samaritan League.

She is survived by her children, Gene (Deborah) Milhit of Horner, WV, and Karen (John) Schindler of Willet.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Matthew Milhit of Charlottesville, VA, Melissa Marr of Sayville, LI, NY, Chad Schindler of Upper Nyack, NY, Jessica Schindler of Willet, and Rebecca Schindler of Lansing; and a brother, Bazine Balzarette of Warwick, NJ.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Marcell Milhit.

A graveside service will be held at the Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.  There will be no prior calling hours or funeral service.
