I worked at Gilbert's beside Oscar for 8 years. I finer man I never met. Heroically strong, yet gentle and compassionate. He will be missed.

You were one of the hardest working men I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. I will never forget your smile or your quick whit. Thank you for being a friend and thank you for being part of the Gilbert Family. God bless and watch over you.

Oscar was as dependable as any man I've known. He was helpful in my youth to become who I am in more ways than I can think of right now. Wish I could be there to ring the bell for him, he deserves it. I send my love and hugs for the Bartholomew family. John Gilbert

My sympathy to all of Oscar's family. I have only good memories of Oscar working on the farm. I remember him as being kind to the adults, children, and the animals.
I also remember him ringing the bell in the Community House steeple the day we buried my brother. It would be nice if someone could ring it for Oscar.
