Ralph R. Enright

Ralph Raymond Enright, 97, of McDonough, NY, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.

Ralph was born in Endicott, NY, on June 20, 1926, the son of the late Raymond and Hildred Horan Enright.  He was a lifelong dairy farmer.  He had also worked at Cheeseborough Whitman Ladder Factory in Newark Valley for over 20 years, along with Crown Industries in Owego and Gilbert’s Machine and Tool in McDonough.  Ralph was previously very active with the Tioga County 4-H Program.  Years ago, he was an active member of the McKendree United Methodist Church in Candor.

He is survived by his children, Earl (Patricia) Enright, Bob (Cheryl) Enright, and Gail Standish, all of McDonough, and Bruce (Denise) Enright of N. Syracuse.  He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Hazel Enright, on June 25, 2018; a daughter Linda Enright; a son-in-law, Garry Standish, Sr., five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Ralph will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Peter Bush officiating.  Burial will be in Wayside Rest Cemetery, Pharsalia.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ralph may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central NY Chapter, 5015 Campuswood Drive, Suite 102, E.
