Raphael Golden

Raphael Golden, 83, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Guthrie Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY.

Born in Spanish Harlem, NY, on October 24, 1939, Raphael was the son of the late Henry and Maria Diaz Golden.  In 2002, he moved to the Cincinnatus area from Long Island.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  Prior to his retirement, he worked at Bowman Lake in Oxford, Green Thumb Cleaning Agency, and Décor on Long Island.

He is survived by a daughter, Luana Golden, of Hawaii; a granddaughter, Jalyn Golden, of Texas; a grandson, Efrain Chiclana, Jr. of New York, and Rafael Golden III of New York; and a sister, Martha Lopez, of New York.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Rafael Golden, Jr.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY, on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Raphael may be directed to Cortland-Chenango Rural Services, P.O. Box 57, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
