Richard P. Eldredge

Richard P. Eldredge, 88, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the NYS Veteran’s Home, Oxford, NY.

Richard was born in Endicott, NY, on March 28, 1933, the son of the late Earl and Thirma Penrose Eldredge. He was a 1952 graduate of Union-Endicott High School. Prior to his retirement, he worked for IBM for 30 years in manufacturing, sales, and management and was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. After retiring from IBM, he ran his own Consulting, Management and Sales training business. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, cutting wood, and living at the lake. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joan Eldredge; his sons, Rick Eldredge of Hilton Head, SC, Tim (Darcie) Eldredge of Kodak, TN, and John Eldredge of Kodak, TN; and his daughter, Julie Eldredge of Ballston Spa, NY. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ian Eldredge, Meagan, Kirsten, and Taylor Eldredge, Olivia and Samantha Scibelli; a brother, William Eldredge of Ocala, FL; a sister, Charlotte Campbell of Fuguay-Varina, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Bob and Larry; and his sisters, Jean, Shirley and Pearl Ann.

Due to restrictions from Covid-19, a celebration of Dick’s life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
